Joseph A. Peragine has released his first solo album The Acoustic Diaries. Preface

The Acoustic Diaries is a collection of specially selected material that I have written over the past 8 years of my life battling Schizophrenia. I put all of this material to the side over the years knowing that one day I would organize it all into a short acoustic summary of my life. I’ve now reached a point where I can look back at that period and finally do that. The Acoustic Diaries is my story. Tracks 1 and 2 serve as an overview of the story. Track 3 takes us back to the beginning. Tracks 4-8 are a summary of the early years having my first experiences with the intense emotions that had triggered the beginnings of my illness. Slowly losing touch with reality and the world around me, this period of the album is just foreshadowing of what was to come. Track 9 is an overview of this period. Tracks 10-13 are a small excerpt of the mass amount of material that I had written over the mid years when I was severely ill, with lyrical structures and arrangements trying to illustrate my theories on mirrors and alternate perspectives of myself and the universe around me. This is the most easily understandable material from that period which is user friendly so that is why I chose it for this album. Track 14 serves as the day of institutionalization. Track 15 serves as my journey back to reality. The recovery years. Track 16 is looking back on all the years trying to make sense of it all.
